Report on the Constituent Assembly of Divine Treasures Network - Yaoundé, Cameroon – January 8, 2025

A new youth-focused association, the Divine Treasures Network (DTN), was officially launched during a Constituent General Assembly held in Yaoundé on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. The event brought together 26 founding members committed to fostering transformational change among youth through counseling, education, training, and employability.

The session opened with a prayer led by Pastor Ngu Gordon Tamufor, setting a reflective tone for the day’s deliberations. Mr. Awasum Ernest Jr. moderated the assembly, presenting Barrister Tanda George Numfor as Chairperson and Dr. Laive Fru Awah as Rapporteur.

In his opening address, Barrister Numfor welcomed the participants and called for active and constructive engagement, emphasizing the significance of the day in shaping the future of the organization.

A structured agenda guided the assembly’s activities, including self-introductions, the presentation and validation of the association’s vision and mission, the adoption of the Articles of Association, and the election of DTN’s pioneer Executive Bureau.

The Founding President, Mr. Mokom Oliver Cho, presented the vision and mission of DTN, which were positively received and unanimously adopted following open discussions. The Articles of Association were also reviewed and endorsed with minor amendments.

One of the day’s highlights was the election of the Executive Bureau, tasked with steering the association in its foundational years. The following individuals were elected:

  • Mr. Herman Pouokam K. – Vice President

  • Dr. Leslie Che Chingang – Secretary General

  • Dr. Sandra Bei Mokom – Assistant Secretary General

  • Mrs. Bih Lilian Forkwen (Epse Mokom) – Treasurer

  • Mr. Foryoung Charles Cho – Technical Adviser

  • Barrister Tanda George Numfor – Legal Adviser

  • Pastor Nkeze Charles – Spiritual Adviser

  • Pastor Ngu Gordon Tamufor – Spiritual Adviser

  • Reverend Ngwani Joseph – Spiritual Adviser

The assembly concluded with expressions of gratitude from the Founding President and the Treasurer, who both pledged to serve with integrity and dedication. A closing prayer and light refreshments rounded off the historic event, marking the birth of an organization poised to inspire and empower youth across Cameroon.
